Hello from the Doghouse, well its been a fairly slow fall and winter here in Cabo unfortunately the stripers never quite popped this year, theres been plenty of small dorado, tuna and wahoo but not much on the marlin. Our plan now is to head back to the states for some annual maintenance and upkeep, from there we will be heading to Loredo as we did this last year from the middle of June, July and August.

 

Last year we had quite an early summer there, in almost 4 weeks we released over 400 billfish, with three grandslams in the mix (that's three species of billfish caught and released in one day of fishing) consisting of sails, stripers and blues. The blues were all smaller fish in the 250 class but on 30 lb string its a blast, not to mention that on a daily basis you can catch 40-60 lb dorado almost at will, and some fantastic bottom fishing for snapper, grouper and several others. So we are going to hammer thru our time at home and get all the behind the scenes work done and get back on it early summer. We will be booking multi day trips in Loredo, it’s a bit of logistics by the time you fly in and we are on the boat and out on the grounds. Loredo is just tough to do one day trips so again we will be booking primarily multi day trips, (some exceptions may apply ). So give me a call and lets put a great trip on the summer calendar for you this year and as I’ve stated before we have special custom rods for the kids.
